In the first seven months of this year, Guangdong exported 46000 second-hand cars, exceeding last year's total

On August 15th, the "2025 Guangdong Province Cross border Procurement Matchmaking Conference for Second hand Cars and Guangdong Province Second hand Car Conference" was held in Nansha, Guangzhou. The conference is guided by the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, jointly organized by the Guangdong Automobile Circulation Association, Guangdong Guangche Foreign Comprehensive Service Platform Co., Ltd., and Huashang International Development Co., Ltd. Nearly 700 people, including representatives from 22 countries and regions including the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Africa, and Russia, over 60 overseas business associations and international buyers, as well as government, institutional, and corporate representatives, attended the conference.

The reporter learned that Guangdong is an important distribution center for second-hand car transactions. In 2024, the country will change the export of second-hand cars to a record system, and the export of second-hand cars, mainly new energy vehicles, will increase rapidly. In the first seven months of this year, Guangdong exported 46000 second-hand cars, exceeding last year's total. Among them, the United Arab Emirates is the largest trading partner for Guangdong's second-hand car exports, exporting 16000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times.

The export of second-hand cars is an important part of stabilizing foreign trade and promoting the upgrading of domestic automobile consumption. It plays a positive role in promoting the automobile industry to make better use of both domestic and international markets and resources on a larger scale, and to develop new quality productivity according to local conditions. Sun Bin, Deputy Director of the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, said that Guangdong supports enterprises to explore international markets, focusing on building second-hand car trading markets, dealerships, bonded exhibition and sales stores, after-sales service outlets, etc. in Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, South America and other regions. Actively creating a favorable environment for the export of second-hand cars, 11 departments including the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce have established a special working mechanism to timely coordinate and solve the difficulties and problems of enterprises; Support Guangdong Guangche Foreign Comprehensive Service Platform Co., Ltd. in building a comprehensive service platform to provide efficient and convenient services for the export of second-hand cars; Promote the development of second-hand car export bases in cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Dongguan, and establish advantages in scale and branding.

Vice President of China Automobile Dealers Association, Luo Lei, stated that the booming development of the second-hand car market injects momentum into the industry's overseas expansion. China's second-hand car circulation system is accelerating its upgrading, with business entities transforming towards scale and branding, and digital trading platforms covering over 90% of mainstream markets. In the first half of this year, 9.57 million vehicles were traded nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 2%.
